I started working at Oldway in 2013 as an NQT. As an ex-pupil at Oldway, it was a little strange at first being the teacher in a class I once sat in. I spent my first year in Year 2 and am now currently in my second year in Year 6. The favourite part of my job is seeing the children develop as learners and as individuals.
Within the school, I am the PE subject Lead. It is a role I am passionate about and really enjoy doing. I believe PE is incredibly powerful and love seeing the children develop their confidence, team skills and understanding of healthy living. I am also proud to coach the Yr 3/4 boys’ Football Team and Yr 5/6 Tag Rugby Team.
Outside of school life, I have two passions: my family and sport. My tired legs can’t handle regular Saturday football anymore so I try to get out running and cycling whenever I can. My two-year-old son also keeps me on my toes! During the warmer months of the year, we try to get away in our camper van and will spend most of our days beaching and exploring!
