My association with Oldway School began in the 1970s, when I attended as a pupil.
I have now been teaching for nearly 29 years, beginning my teaching career at Oldway Primary School in 1988. When I started here, the school looked very different and I have seen many changes over the years. Most of my teaching has been in year 6, although I have also taught across Key Stage 2. At various times I have been subject leader for: science, history, and RE, although currently I have responsibility for geography across the school.
I live in Torquay with my husband, Tony. Our two children, who both attended Oldway School, are grown up – one is in full time employment and the other is at university. In my time away from the classroom I enjoy being with my family. As a family we enjoy going to the theatre, eating out and travelling abroad. I have a particular passion for books and reading (when I have the time) and walking our two spaniels.
