I have been teaching at Oldway for over twenty years and thoroughly enjoy being in such a vibrant school and working alongside so many talented colleagues. For many years I have been lucky to teach the youngest children in the school. It is a real privilege to be part of their lives and develop good home and school links. Over the school year I am always amazed by their boundless energy, enthusiasm and the way they grow in confidence.
I am very interested in child development and the importance of play and have recently started a child psychology course. I like to imagine what the world is like through the eyes of a child and enjoy providing a rich and varied curriculum. In particular I like to foster the love of using different art materials and I help run an Art club for the reception children.
At home I am a wife and a mum to two teenagers. We have two cats and two rescue rabbits. I enjoy cooking and walking on Dartmoor. I have also been a member of the Dartington Printmakers group for many years.
