Ms D Jackson, Assistant Head & Class 13

I have worked with young children all my adult life after training as a Nursery Nurse many moons ago. I began working as a Reception teacher at Oldway in 2000 before moving into Year 1 and now I teach Year 2 children.

During this time, I have been lucky enough to work with many children and their parents as well as train young people who wish to become teachers. I believe I have one of the most rewarding jobs possible as no two days are ever the same and young children regularly make you smile (often without even knowing it)!

I have one grown up daughter who is also a teacher currently in a Year 1 class in Plymouth. My (limited) free time is spent reading, going to the theatre, travelling the world and recently I have started to attend a Pilates class!
