FINANCE OFFICER – Maternity Cover to May 2019
The successful candidate will be expected to take up this post as soon as possible to ensure training is in place with the existing post holder. Hours per week - based on 30 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Daily Hours - Flexible, there may be some scope to access systems from home eg during school holidays and to work across 3 or 4 days per week subjecting to meeting work deadlines
Requirements of the Post
The successful candidate will undertake key financial tasks and provide support to the Director of Finance. Applicants should be mindful of relating their skills/ qualifications / experience to the person specification when completing their application.
We are looking for candidates who have strong accountancy skills backed up by experience, with an eye for detail and accuracy; who preferably have experience of working with either SIMS/FMS or commercial school financial accounting packages.
Salary will be pro rata and in accordance with the Riviera Education Trust Pay Policy (£20,660 - £22,658 FTE), note pay award pending 1.4.2018. This post is based on NJC scales/Torbay Grades and is Graded at scale F.

Supply teachers may be required to cover playground duty if the person they are replacing is rostered on that day. There will be an expectation that any written work done during the day is marked for basic accuracy to inform the class teacher upon their return.
The MTA team are a group of committed staff who support the children at lunchtime in eating and enjoying playtime. The working hours are 1.25 per day, starting salary £7.78 per hour. MTAs receive training throughout the year and many staff go on to become teaching assistants.
