The Cleaning team at Oldway Primary School is looking for an additional Cleaner to join their small team. The role is 10 hrs per week and covers 41 weeks a year including a deep clean at Easter and during the summer. Allowing for holiday pay, the pro rata annual payment equates to around 47 weeks per year depending on service. This is paid in 12 equal instalments with the opportunity for paid overtime cover.
You will work as part of a small hardworking team, cleaning classrooms, shared areas and toilet facilities as designated.
To provide an appropriate level of cleanliness throughout a designated area, whilst being aware of the security, health and safety needs of the school. Designated areas may be subject to alteration.
● To undertake normally as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas within premises to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition to meet the school’s specification.
● Duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas, which may include toilets, shower areas, fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate powered equipment.
● To follow health and safety guidelines, report faulty machinery and equipment to the line manager.
● To attend training sessions when requested.
● To be aware of and adhere to the security needs of the premises.
● To complete all forms as requested by management.
● Report shortfall in stock requirement to line managers.

Oldway Primary School as part of the Riviera Primary Academy Trust, is considering applications from suitably qualified persons to fulfil the role of supply teacher.
The school is a large primary school based in Paignton with 22 classes and we frequently require supply teachers across all key stages. We pay a fixed sum for all supply work undertaken in our school. The daily rate will be £135, which for mornings or afternoons will be broken down to £75 for morning supply and £60 for afternoon supply. You must be in class in time to receive any handover information, prepare for teaching and take the registration.
Supply teachers may be required to cover playground duty if the person they are replacing is rostered on that day. There will be an expectation that any written work done during the day is marked for basic accuracy to inform the class teacher upon their return.
All supply teachers will be welcome to attend staff meetings for their own professional development; a copy of the meetings taking place each term will be displayed in the staff room.

MEAL TIME ASSISTANTS
The MTA team are a group of committed staff who support the children at lunchtime in eating and enjoying playtime. The working hours are 1.25 per day, starting salary £8.50 per hour. MTAs receive training throughout the year and many staff go on to become teaching assistants.
