The Three Little Pigs

Class 20 have been very busy this term.  After Christmas we watched a video message from The Big Bad Wolf who asked us to tell the story of The Three Little Pigs to as many adults as possible because nobody seems very scared of him when he is out and about doing his shopping!  The children learned to retell the story with actions so that we could perform to friends and family.  We were very impressed by the numbers of adults who came to see our storytelling.

We have started to read in guided reading groups where we share and read a book together with an adult.  Now that we have learned most of the alphabet sounds we have moved on to learning digraphs such as 'th,sh,ch.'  Look out for the weekly homework sheets in book bags.

We have also been learning to recognise different coins to help us count and add coin values for when we go shopping.  Parents can find out more about weekly maths activities by looking at their child's Interactive Learning Diary.
