It has been a short, but full and exciting half-term.
Our Year Sixes have worked extremely hard and I am sure will have excelled in their statutory tests.
Year Four have been on their first residential - a brave night away (for the parents as well as the children!).
Next year's Reception children have been allocated school places.
Year Two have been in the process of taking their SATs.
Year One have been preparing for their phonics tests.
We have had a variety of INSITE mornings, sporting events (including the football finals at Plainmoor) and parents' meetings.
BUT... The highlight of the half-term has to be the last day. The culmination of Arts Week, where all the children performed, shared or contributed their beautiful art, dance and music. We were joined by hundreds of parents and the afternoon was a proper celebration and reminded us of what a special community we are part of.
A fantastic day. Thank you to everyone involved, especially to Mrs Bavister who co-ordinated her final Arts Week at Oldway. A real success!
