It's been a great summer, and I'm looking forward to welcoming all of the children back to school tomorrow.
This half-term, we are focusing on behaviour at playtimes - It's good but it can be even better!
We will also be building on the successes of last year academically. We saw huge improvements in progress for our children at KS2, and the results for our children in Foundation Stage, in Year One phonics, in KS1 SATs and in KS2 SATs were all above the national average and we are rightly proud of the children's achievements.
Of course we would not be such a success without the support provided by our parents and carers. We will be providing more communications for parents this year, including an introductory meeting with your child's new year leader in the next couple of weeks. This will be an opportunity to hear about what will be happening in your child's class this year, and find out more about how you can help your child to do well at school.
More about what is happening this term will be in the next school newsletter, so keep an eye out for that soon.
In the meantime, I'll see you on the school gate in the morning.
