Welcome back to school after a beautiful summer break.

It was fantastic to see the whole school in assembly this morning, looking amazing in their new school uniform. The children and staff have made a really positive start back to school and are already working hard, sharing class rules, expectations and looking forward to the year ahead. There will be a whole school assembly every Monday morning, to emphasise that we are one large family here at Oldway. These assemblies will focus on our Oldway values. This week we have been looking at resilience, and this is something we want to instil in all our children as a life skill that will be with them long after their time at Oldway.

Hot lunches today were delicious: I enjoyed the shepherd's pie with green beans and sweetcorn, although I didn't get any chocolate sponge and custard, which looked very tasty.

Thank you to parents and carers who dropped off children and left the site so promptly today, it really helped us to get started quickly this morning.

A great first day of the new school year!
