In Year 3, we're starting our new art topic, taking inspiration from the Iron Age and the Celts. We're going to begin by drawing Celtic knots and eventually work our way onto a new and exciting way of working in art!
For the first week, however, we're practising the most difficult part of drawing Celtic knots - overlapping lines. We made patterns with pieces of string and then tried to draw them with lines going over and under clearly. We added shading to make it clearer.
It was really tricky and made our brains work hard! Have a go with some of these creative string organisations that we made.
