Extra useful maths activities

Maths activities - Here are some useful extra resources which you can use to support learning at home if required

6.12.19

This week we have been learning how we can use subtraction to find the difference between two numbers.

This is the storry that the children have been taught:

"You start with the whole and subtract the part that you know to find the part that you don't know (the difference)."

For example, 12 is the whole. 9 is the part that you know.

12 - 9 = 3

The difference between 12 and 9 is 3.

9 is 3 less than 12.

12 is 3 more than 9.
