We are learning about the uses of everyday materials in science. Today (25th September) we started thinking about suitability and why certain materials were better for certain uses.
We compared materials for cups (plastic, china and paper) and for forks (plastic, metal and cardboard). Paper made a terrible cup because it wasn't waterproof and couldn't hold any liquid. Cardboard made a bad fork because it couldn't pick up any of our pretend playdoh food. Which do you think was the best material for these uses?
