Miss D Jackson, Assistant Head & Class 8

I have worked with young children all my adult life after training as a Nursery Nurse many moons ago. I began working as a Reception teacher at Oldway in 2000 before moving into Year 1, Year 2 and now I teach in Year 4.
During this time, I have been lucky enough to work with many children and their parents as well as train young people who wish to become teachers. I believe I have one of the most rewarding jobs possible as no two days are ever the same and young children regularly make you smile (often without even knowing it)!
I have one grown up daughter who is also a teacher currently in Plymouth. My (limited) free time is spent reading, going to the theatre, travelling the world and recently I have returned from a sabbatical in Albania where I was School Principal of a brand new British School – what an amazing experience!
