Oldway strongly encourages pupils to lead a healthy lifestyle. We enjoy much success in sport and are able to offer all our children opportunities for swimming tuition which far exceed average primary provision.
Due to limited swimming lessons and pool closure during the pandemic, for 2021-22 children in KS2 (years 3, 4, 5 and 6) have been prioritised for swimming lessons at school. We will resume swimming lessons with our younger children later in the year and in the upcoming years throughout their time at primary school.
Swimming lesson are due to start from w/c 20 September 2021 and parents and carers will be sent an info letter before lesson start regarding swimming kit (see below) required.
If you are able to volunteer to help with swimming - for supervising children or assisting swimming in the pool - please contact the school office.
If your child has had limited swimming experience during the pandemic or can be anxious in the water, please discuss this with your child's class teacher.
