Oldway strongly encourages pupils to lead a healthy lifestyle.  We enjoy much success in sport and are able to offer all our children opportunities for swimming tuition which far exceed average primary provision.

If you are able to volunteer to help with swimming – for supervising children or assisting with swimming in the pool – please contact the school office.

If your child has had limited swimming experience or can be anxious in the water, please discuss this with your child's class teacher.

Swimming kit needed for all pupils:

• Swimming costume or shorts (baggy 'Bermuda' shorts are not suitable)
• Long hair tied up
• Named towel
• Named bag
• Swimming cap (recommended but not required)
• Goggles (recommended but not required – we have sets of goggles pupils can borrow)
