    Nursery children enjoying Oldway Wild Learning

    Wild Learning takes place each week across EYFS and covers all areas of the curriculum.

    Communication and Language

    There are many opportunities for discussion, learning new vocabulary and talking and listening skills.

    Personal, Social and Emotional Development

    The children learn how important it is to follow rules and also how to work together.

    Physical Development

    The children are encouraged to get dressed for the sessions independently.  Fine and gross motor skills are planned in for each session and built upon weekly.

    Literacy

    The children are encouraged to mark make and there are always new and exciting words to learn.

    Maths

    There are opportunities for maths in each session, from counting natural objects to recording in different ways.

    Understanding the world

    The children will use all their senses to explore the environment and also how to care for it.

    Expressive art and design

    The children will be using natural objects to create and explore in imaginative ways.
