Bikeability Holiday Courses

 

Torbay Council will once again be running their hugely popular Cycling courses in the Summer Holidays at Torbay Velopark. These range from Learn to Ride to Bikeability Level 2 and will be running 24-28 July and 21-25 August. There are courses for age 6 upwards. The places go quickly so please book early. Summer holiday programme
Packed with lots of activities for children and young people of all ages! We still have the continued support of our funders so it’s FREE to anyone who would like to join in!

Paignton Community and Sports Academy also have their Summer programme available with some new and exciting activities including Indoor Go Karting at Raceworld in Exeter, Skiing and snowboarding at Plymouth Ski Centre, Cayman Golf day, Cayman Golf Cubz for 2-5 yrs, Film and Media Workshop, Mini Archery for 5-7 yrs, Quay Climbing and Clip and Climb day in Exeter, Skateboard lesson and half day sessions at Grenville House: please see HERE to book.

 

For any activities, if your child requires the support of our Play Inclusion Team, do contact us as soon as possible: please email jemma@playtorbay.org.uk or phone 01803 850157. We have team of highly trained workers skilled in playwork and youth work who are able to support young people on a one-to-one basis.
We charge £20.00 per hour for this service.

 

The Torbay Libraries Summer Reading Challenge 2017 Animal Agents

 

This challenge will be launched on Saturday 10th July and will run until September 9th.

 

The Summer Reading Challenge aims to keep children reading for pleasure over the school summer holidays and is a great way to prevent the dip in reading that can occur during the long break from school.

FREE LEARN TO RIDE SESSIONS!
 
Having trouble getting your child going on two wheels?
 
Torbay Council is offering Free Learn to Ride sessions to pupils in years 1 to 6. These will take place in the school holidays at Torbay Velopark with only two pupils to each instructor. We have an extremely high success rate at getting pupils riding in the two hour session.
 
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Adventure Play in the Bay

 

This is part of Play Torbay's wider programme of opportunities offered to ALL young people living in Torbay. Adventure Play in the Bay provide support for disadvantaged and disabled children aged 4 - 19 to access adventurous and playful activities free of charge. Through Children in Need funding they are able to support children and young people who may have difficulty for social, physical or financial reasons in accessing this programme. They may be able to subsidise activities and provide inclusion support.
