We have been very busy behind the scenes planning a jam-packed afternoon of family fun. We hope the date is in your diary – Saturday 6th July, 1-4pm. We look forward to seeing you there! 

We have lots to keep everyone entertained to include: Traditional Fairground Games, Inflatable fun, Zorbing, Archery, Penalty Shoot Out, Craft Stalls, Toy Lucky Dip, Sweet Shop, Ice Creams, Refreshments, Entertainment Stage and lots more. 

We are also excited to announce that we have the South West Regional Drug Dog Team for the Prison Service coming to our Summer Fair. They will be demonstrating the training the dogs go through to prepare them for the work they undertake in our local prisons.

So gather your friends and wider family and come along for a great value, fun and entertaining afternoon.

Help still needed:
OSF is currently a small group with just 4 official members. So far 5 parents have come forward to offer to help on the day. With everything we have planned we need at least 10 extra helpers to help us run games and serve refreshments. If you think you can help us please, please, please get in touch by emailing: osfchair@oldwayschool.co.uk

You wouldn’t need to run a stall all afternoon, but if you could offer an hour of your time to help during the afternoon that would be very welcomed. We would hate to have to scale back plans and remove some of the games due to a lack of helpers.

Friday 28th June:
Don’t forget that Friday 28th June is a non-school uniform day. We are asking that children bring into school a prize for the Summer Fair Tombola. This can be anything from unwanted new unopened gifts to chocolates, sweets, toiletries or toys. Anything you feel that would make a suitable tombola prize. Donations will be collected at the main school gate / outside reception in the morning by members of OSF. There is no expectation to donate anything, but if you can your contribution will be greatly appreciated.

Summer Fair Raffle Tickets

A book of raffle tickets will be coming home with your child week commencing 17th June. The raffle has proven to be a great way to raise funds for our school. This year we have some amazing prizes up for grabs to include:

• £150 cash prize,
• family of 4 pass to Splashdown,
• 6 months anytime fitness membership,
• £75 VX3 voucher,
• Maggies beauty voucher,
• family pass to Shaldon Zoo,
• family pass to Torquay museum,

• 4 Vue cinema tickets,

• Quarryside pottery voucher,
• £35 voucher for Zen Wellness

and of course some cuddly toys!

Tickets cost £1 each. Each child will be bringing home a booklet of 10 tickets. Please encourage your child to sell their book of tickets. The draw will be made and the winners announced at the end of the Summer Fair on Saturday 6th July. Don't worry if you won't be there at the end of the Fair; all prizes will be safely stored and handed out to all winners following the event.

Tickets and money must be returned to your class teacher by Friday 5th July or handed in at the Information Desk at the Summer Fair.
